Searching for Old Worn Flags

MONA REEDER/DMN	Jeanette Prasifka hit the mother lode Saturday when she visited Uncle Buddy's Auto Sales. The Garland Road dealership had saved the old, worn flags it recently replaced, and the force behind the DAR's flag retirement ceremony was happy to pick them up.
MONA REEDER/DMN	When Jeanette Prasifka spots an Old Glory that's too old or incorrectly displayed, she knocks on the door and quietly offers a proper retirement or information on flag etiquette. Flag owners respectfully hear her out most of the time, though once in a while, she'll get a door slammed in her face. Her group expects to retire hundreds of old flags this year.
